Everywhere you go and everywhere you look, people are using technology. Some are being glued to their phones others to their laptops or computers. According to the article "Is technology harming our communications skills?", there is a statistic that says 80% of the population in the United States is using internet. They spent 17 hours a week being online. Many families have more than one computer.
Another interesting fact is that people stopped communicating face-to-face instead they are texting or being on Facebook/Twitter. Nowadays we are so dependent on technology, in some ways it is helpful to the society. It made it possible for the people to stay in touch with their friends or family who live far away. Now we can find important information that we need, quicker and more accurate. But there is a bad side of all this, technology is one of the reason why some people have trouble communicating. People spent so much time being online and forget about the real life outside the virtual world. It might also harm our writing skill at school or work by using abbreviations of some words. We have to have some limit and not use so much technology, otherwise we might harm our relationships with people.

Damyana, what a great subject! I like how you presented both sides. Do you limit yourself on electronic devices or are you not on them all day?
