China Geography, Climate

1. China is the second largest country in the world after Russia.
2. China has the longest combined land border in the world.
3. China borders 14 nations more than any other country except Russia which is also borders.
4. China's border with India is disputed, and it caused  Sion-Indian War in 1962.
5. China's landscapes are vast width.
6. Southern China is dominated by hills and low mountain ranges.
7. The central-east hosts the deltas of China's two major rivers, the Yellow River and the Yangtze River. Those two river are very important for China. People live around the rivers need water to survive and farming. People also use rivers as transportation. 

8.The west, major mountain ranges, most are the Himalayas, and high plateaus feature among the more arid landscapes of the north. There is less farming over the north because the arid. There is also had less people live over the north side of China. The Taklamakan and the Gobi Desert are in the north side of China.

Synthesis&PLan

       I had learned the Chinese culture and part of the history so far. The culture in China such as life cycle. I learned the one child policy in China. The traditions Chinese had for the new born baby. The funeral in China is black and white and people do not wear black and white in their life except funeral. China had five thousands of history. I learned the great and famous things in the history. The first empire built the great wall in China to prevent the invading countries. The famous people and empire in the China's history. Those people built the Chinese culture. Those cultures are still exist in China today.

China: Life Cycle

1, China have the one child policy. Each family only allow to have one child.
2, People can't check the baby gender before they were born because the discrimination to the female makes parent abandon them.
3, When women are pregnant they not allow to eat rabbit meat because they believed if they eat rabbit meat the baby will have harelip.
4, When women give labor they do not receive anesthesia because they think it may effect the child's brain.
5,  Chinese celebrate the arrival of the newborn one month after its birth, it is called Man Yue Jiu.
6, Families and friends put money in the red envelope and give to the baby as lucky.
7, Chinese hold party for the baby is 100 days old.
8, Chinese named their baby according to the families history.
9, White and black is the funeral color of China.
10, When people died families and friend burn incense and yellow paper. The yellow paper is considered as the money for the died people.

Chine Life Cycle.

China

 China has the greatest population in the world. It is also one of the oldest continuous in the world. China has five thousand years of history. China has been ruled bu dynasties. China had at least 28 dynasties and more than five hundred emperors. The first dynasty was Qin dynasty with emperor Qin Shi Huang. He built the Great Wall to against the invading groups and he was the emperor for whom the famous Terracotta Army was fashioned. The national language in is Mandarin and is spoken by 70 percent of the population in China. Different city or area spoken their own local language. There is over 50,000 characters in the Chinese alphabet but only 8,000 are actually in use. In order to speak fluent Mandarin you need to know 1,500 to 2,000 characters.
   I learned that there is over 50,000 characters in the Chinese alphabet and I realize that I know more than 1,500 characters. There is different kind of Chinese that people spoken in different area of China. The most interest things about China is each of those dynasties has their own story. The emperor Qin Shi Huang built the Great Wall and we still can see that today.

What makes a society just?

   I think the follower makes leader great. A great leader should have people to support him. If people support him that means he or she is a great leader. A great leader should responsible for peoples right and make sure everyone have the equal right. A great leader also do the good things for his people and society, he or she should make sure the justest in the society.
   I think all the human nature are good because everyone has compassion. I also think that all the human nature are bad because everyone is selfish. I think if something bad is happen everyone thinks for their self instead think for others. I think relationship can determine people's behavior because when you in relationship with others you care about them. Everyone have compassion that is why we care about other people.
   I think government should let the people in the country owning the wealth first. In order to make people wealth government should control the currency in their country. The government should also control the price of market. They should make sure everyone have enough money to buy stuff. The government should distributed the money equally to the poor people.
   I think honor means role model. Like you did something good so that people look at you think you as a role model. Everyone try to do the good things like you did. I think character counts influence people's behavior because it taught people to do the good things for others.
 

Racial Discrimination

      Racial Discrimination is been a problem exist for a long time. Today, we still have the racism problem exist in our society. This problem had been discussed many time and people still argue about. Some people does not know what kind of situation called discrimination. The discrimination among races is like a group of people  think their race is in a higher position or worth respectful than other races. Their action is intentionally harmful or pejorative to other people. Racism is people divided in to groups that share the same identity. The group share the same identity means they share the same skin color, eyes color, and the same culture or religions. Racism is based on view to determined that people are different.

    Back to the history, discrimination does not exist because people don't know what is discrimination. On Africa history, there was a lot of slaves and segregation. When the time get longer some people thought this is not right. Then they started to fight for equal right. They give speech about everyone is the equal. Finally the slaves were free and they made Racial Discrimination in to Constitution. Today more people started to believe everyone is equal and the same.  Everyone deserve the equal right, people respect each other and their religion.

My Life

       My name is Catherine, I'm a high school student from Hinsdale Central High School. I came to America four years ago, I came from China. I'm taking ELL, Math, Spanish, PE, World Culture, Bio at Hinsdale Central. I'm in Fccla and Care club, we do charity to raise money for Chicago public school and human society. We also bake cookies and cupcakes to sale in school to raise money. I like to play badminton, and I will try out for the team. I  play violin, and I will be in the orchestra on my junior year. My favorite class is Spanish because I'm  learning the third language in my life. I never think about to speak three language in my life so I'm glad that I can learning Spanish as my third language.
             

     I have a nuclear family but I have six cousins. Two of my cousins were in America, New Jersey and New York. I  visit them a lot during Christmas and spring break. I have two cousin sisters they both younger than me, they were in China. I visit them during summer I like being a big sister and take care of them. I have a lot of friend in China and I still chat with them while I'm in America. I do make some friend in America, in high school. I like spend time with them, sometime they inspire me about the things I never think of. That is why I like spend time with them it's fun and they make me laugh. When I have free time I like to hang out with friend, to go shopping or to watch movies. Sometimes we play instrument together, they correct me when I was wrong and they taught me a lot. I'm glad that I still can make friends in America.
                 

        For my future my plan is to go to the college after high school. I think I will be a doctor or a nurse after I graduated from college. In my plan my college time should be a great and happy time ever. I will to live with my friend during college and I will get a dog in my apartment. During the free time I can play badminton or violin with my friend.  I will travel a lot with my friends, we might travel the world. I will go back to China a lot to visit my family and friends.
